From Spikeworld. | Spikeworld - The blog of Spike Dennis | Artist, Maker, Curator and Colloaborator
On the 10 February 2017 I will be giving an artist’s talk as a part of the Making in Transit project. I’ll be speaking alongside Luka Katic (Experimental Psychology, Oxford University) as we explore the social functions of guilt and shame.
Clearly, both guilt and shame are complex: playing a role in learning and balancing social relationships while being at the core of debilitating feelings on inferiority. Luka and I will explore this interesting pair of emotions through artistic and scientific approaches.
The event is free but be sure to register via EventBrite to secure your seat.
When: Friday 10 February 2017, 19:00 – 21:00
Where: THECUBE, 155 Commercial Street, London E1 6BJ
Making in Transit
Making in Transit is an exhibition of works created by my fellow Arctic adventurer Jennifer Crouch. The project is a response to our voyage to the remote archipelago of Svalbard as members of the Arctic Circle Residency, Autumn Expedition, 2016.
As a part of the project Jen is hosting a series of free events which unpack many different subjects relating to making, mapping and how we respond to our environment.
Visit www.makingintransit.com for more information about upcoming events.
